How I Made Generative Art of Colorful Cat Chefs

Anna x Dall-E Generative Art Collaboration – Pt. 1

I just got access to OpenAi’s Dall-E 2 beta image generator, and I’m so excited for to explore this Human x AI collaboration of generative art otherwise known as synthography! I have been really enjoying using free options like Craiyon for a while now, and I’m really glad that Open AI has been opening up the beta access to Dall-e.

You get some free access every month once you get your invite and can pay for more use. Overall it feels pretty fair, and the model they have produces such a high quality and realistic images compared to Craiyon.

Here are a batch of generative art, I made yesterday that I am just obsessed with! I used three variations of this prompt to get these cat chef images:

” digital art of a cute fluffy cartoon cat chef cooking steak and gourmet food with a surreal colorful galactic background, yes chef, by Lisa Frank”

Gosh, I love all of these so much, and I can’t wait to use them in my art.

Any of these can be made into a RedBubble design or commissioned piece from here, but it does take some time to go from a generated image to a high resolution design that prints well.

Which one do you like the most? And what other types of generative art are you interested in seeing?

I’d love to know what you think in the comments below!

PS: here’s a snap of some of my earlier generative art using a similar prompt over on Craiyon
